We had a quiet Christmas Eve. We've all been recovering from the stomach flu this week. So a quiet day was appreciated by Matt and I but not the kids. They are experiencing a bit of cabin fever. =) We went out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner with my parents. Than we headed to church for our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service. It was a beautiful service and message. After church we headed to my parents house where the kids each got a pillow pet. They were super excited!
We headed home shortly after that and the kids got to open two more presents at home. Their new pajamas and a new book. This is a yearly tradition, opening new pajamas. That way the morning pictures look even more adorable. =) This is the first year we have added a new book to their Christmas Eve presents. It was a huge hit so it will definitely be a tradition we carry on.
Everyone is still dressed up from church. Chloe is trying to figure out what her present is since it is so heavy. Aidan is telling her to just hurry up and open it. =)
Daulton's face lit up when we handed him his present. He loved the bright wrapping paper and had fun wrinkling it and making noise.
Brenna was so excited to finally be able to open a present. So excited that she just held it for a while before she actually tore into it.
Chloe got a brand new Bible this year for Christmas. I love the look on her face when she realized what it was. She was so excited. She was even more excited when she saw her name embossed on the cover. That made it really special.
Here she is showing it off for the camera. She is growing up to be such a beautiful girl.
Daulton had fun playing with the paper as he unwrapped his pajamas and board book. Aidan was so excited with his book and pajamas that he ran to his room to change as soon as he opened them so I didn't get a picture.
Brenna was thrilled with her new book. She kept exclaiming over and over again--"Book!" I got her the Gigi, God's Little Princess Treasury Book. This is an adorable series about a little girl who discovers she is God's little Princess. The perfect book for our little princess.
So here are our ABC & D! They are adorable in their new pajamas and with their new books. They are now in bed way too excited to sleep!
